ARTICLE 5 – UNIT MEMBER’S WORK YEAR

 

5.1       The   work year for all unit members for the regular school year shall be 176 days.  All unit members who are under contract other than the regular school year of 176 days shall be as follows:

           

5.1.1    - 10 ˝ month employees shall be responsible for an additional 10 working days to be approved by the Superintendent/President or his designee.

 

5.1.2    - 11 month employees shall work an additional 20 days which shall be approved by the Superintendent/President or his designee.

 

5.1.3    – 11 ˝ month employees shall work an additional 30 days which shall be approved by the Superintendent/President or his designee.

 

5.1.4    – 12 month employees shall work 40 additional days which shall be approved by the Superintendent/President or his designee.

 

5.2       Unit members shall not earn vacation time.

 

5.3       The maximum combined lecture-laboratory teaching load for a unit member shall be assigned  as provided by the loading formula in Administrative Regulation 4136, Teaching Load Standards, but in no case shall exceed 32 hours per week for all classes.

 

5.4       Each unit member shall have five (5) student/teacher conference hours per week, consisting of at least one hour for each day a teaching unit member has an assigned class on campus
